Shirts, Shirts, Shirts

I'm not into comical graphics on shirts or anything with sequins, so I think I try to go for a shirt that's incredibly simple. I do look at the quality of the shirt, specifically at the stitching. I hardly have any shirts with wide stitchings, because I'm not dealing with sudden rips or a one-time only shirt. I've never really been into the brand, I think Chanel shirts look extremely uncomfortable, plus I try to go for the "trying not to look like I tried, but I tried" look which doesn't have Chanel on the list. Of course there are some brands I love, but I don't see it as necessary to buy those things.

People are very much into buying things they don't need to impress people they don't like. The two things you need in a shirt is the color, sizing, and the quality. Not the brand. If all you have set in your mind is the brand, you're going to end up with a beige shirt that doesn't look good on you.

Cultural Events

There is a recurring dream that visits my mind daily. Not frightening, not comforting. Just a sheet of white. Some say that these visions are not dreams, but if I'm asleep, and my mind hallucinates this sheet of white, it's a dream.

I prefer to believe that my mind and mental health have seen and heard things beyond my own imagination that there's really no scenario they can display to my unconscious mind.

I'm an open person.

I was seven - or six? - when I floated in a jelly donut blowup water seat and silently watched a girl, who had a large one-piece bathing suit on teeming with tacky flowers, get molested by my swimming coach. I genuinely believe and recall that moment to be the day my ebullient view of the world disintegrated.

I was nine when I wrapped myself like a woolen burrito with pillows glued to both my ears when my parents had their first fight. First of many. The cartoons lied, this pillow trick never worked. Maybe the gift of an iPod was foreshadowing the several years to come. I'm aware that in spite of my perpetuate love for both my parents, there is a resentment that gradually built up for their lack of honesty to one another, to our family, to me.

I was eleven when I first stepped into a crowded, reeking airplane. I was walking through clouds, I was having horrid airplane food among the sunset. My Lebanon bubble was generously popped. Thank you. I no longer limit myself, academically or socially. There's always something beyond our borders. That is what makes me smile.

I was thirteen when I had my first boyfriend. Everyone dates in Middle School, and once you're out of the frenzy, you wish you had listen to your mother's subtle comments about regret. I genuinely believed we were going to get married. There is a unique kind of loathing I feel towards him now, one transfixed with a love that, unfortunately, will never leave.

I am fifteen and my views of those around me has collapsed. Maybe I'm just inconsistent. Maybe the world is inconsistent.

The Invention of Unemployment

To the left, weighing in at 193 pounds, he's got the mind of Athena and the strength of Zeus, we have the human! And in this corner, weighing in 3 pounds, with the efficiency of Hermes and the gift of worldwide accessibility, we have the manmade machine! Who will win? Who will construct their plan of world domination?

Spoiler Alert: They tied.

Why get rid of the manmade machine? We created it. We need it. It's essential to our lives, why kill it? Is it because humans are threatened by metal objects or hypothetical concepts? Are humans still as selfish as they were in 50 BC? There's going to be some major technological breakthroughs, but it's a generalization to believe it'll increase unemployment. These devices are advancing us, we are no longer stuck on the level 23 of Candy Crush of reality.

Why blame the e-mail for the decrease is post office users? Or using e-cards instead of cardboard cutouts? This challenges us. This should challenge everyone. Technology persuades us to think outside the box and if you're going to stay on that same concept or job for the next decade, you'll never progress. It is up to humans to beat technology in the race of advancement. We created those devices, they won't conquer us unless we allow them to.

Historical Person

Martin Luther King, Jr.

Probably an overused thought, or a controversial one, but MLK needed a cellphone. He used the power of words, of course, much more powerful than any weapon. His words abolished segregation. He was the word shaker. So, why a cellphone? Communication. He needed more people on his side, much more than the population of America. In the aftermath of his impact, he changed the entire world. During his impact, he needed more of the world. Maybe some butterfly effect would have taken place, maybe a Whatsapp from his wife or a twitter notification would have prevented his murder.

Bulbs

There is light that can be emitted past daylight. This light shines through a miniature glass. We have discovered a way to capture light and preserve it within this glass. It's a form of magic. Electricity. Light up your cave past the evening.

There is light that can be emitted past daylight. It is not necessarily of daylight color: mustardy-yellow. The line illuminates colors of magenta, blue, and fierce silver. It's a form of magic. LED. Light up your cave past the evening with colors.

Colors. Red; your blood. Brown; your skin. Blue; the sky. Yellow; the sun.

There is light that can be emitted past daylight. Humphry Davy preformed the magic. His magic was impractical. Thomas Edison refined the magic. Magic is seen when the sun goes down. Magic lights up. Electricity.

"Time" Inventions

Each of these four inventions, in every aspect, benefited human existence. Maybe not the Iron Man suit. The Organ Printer has already guaranteed a spot as a lifesaving advancement. Is it unrealistically expensive? Yes. Is anyone gonna buy an Organ Printer for the jolly fun of it? No. Every advancement we've made, any tech devices has benefited society. Even something as ridiculous as the Google Glasses.

Will this advancement put commoners under unemployment? No. Who's going to make the 3D Printing Machines? The rapid advancement is building up competition between friend and foe. It's up to you if you're willing to contribute your blessed mind into the development of planet Earth.

A con of these advancements would be the wicked side to technology. What if we're ruled by robots?

Craftsmanship

I get absolutely nothing out of my skill of painting or drawing. I could invest as an artist, or even a my own Henry's Handmade boutique. Would it be more expensive? Probably. Definitely. I spent twenty-three hours on this handmade vase, it's probably something you'll never see in your life again, so yes. Pay me. I understand the extensive prices of authentic art pieces. What do I get out of my artistic gift? A worried father and a cliché unique skill.

I think I can cook. I can bake? I can cook an amazing omelette. I baked a chocolate cake once, but I used Betty Crocker. Betty Crocker is the seed machine of cake. It's easier. I get food out of this rare skill. I could also get food if I just leave the house. There's always an easier way out.

Are my skills going to be needed in a decade? A couple of years?
